Rather than beat around the bush, I'll cut straight to the chase. The current plot is really more of a backstory and setting so I wanted to know what you guys would think to a more solid plot and if you had any ideas as to what that solid plot would be. Let me know if you think this would boost member numbers or if the simple post-Potter with slash is enough. Throw all you ideas at me, no matter how crazy, and I'll see how many I can shove together to create a super duper plot.
So while doing my ironing, I came up with an almost idea to throw at you and see what you think. Some of the old Death Eaters were helped out of Azkaban by one of the guarding Aurors. Determined not to ruin the Ministry's now squeaky-clean reputation, they keep the escape quiet and all those involved in the investigation are sworn to secrecy. They know someone on the outside helped them but they unfortunately don't know who. Then the disappearances start. There is no pattern to who goes missing with just as many purebloods as Muggle-borns leaving without a trace. The Aurors are convinced that the escaped Death Eaters are behind it with the intention of rising up again to take another shot at reshaping the wizarding world to suit their interests.
The disappearances would be a combination of genuine abductions/murders and fakes. The fakes would be people that are in the new group and need to slip away from their current life to focus on their new role but wouldn't be able to do so without drawing suspicion. Then there would of course be those that are targeted and go missing.
