(OOC: i'll make up a post template later, i'm feeling kinda lazy right now)
It was so, so common for Oliver to come out to the lake. The year had only just begun and he was already trying to clear his head of all the things that bothered him, the summer break hadn't been kind to him in the least. His mother's condition was only getting worse, and there were a few times where her episodes resulted in her hitting the ground hard. The disease wouldn't have a chance to kill her if she managed to hit her head a little too hard one of these times. He was terrified of that happening, constantly found himself dreading a message of her death.
Whenever the Gryffindor was feeling particularly vulnerable like this, he just separated himself from everyone and everything for a little while. At least until he could strengthen his resolve and was confident that he wouldn't slip up. Oliver felt like he had to be perfect all of the time, it could get pretty damn stressful actually. Whenever he showed any flaws, he would beat himself up over it every time, and he did slip quite a bit since being perfect was kind of impossible. But he didn't let that stop him from trying.
The short-haired brunette was currently just standing a few feet away from the edge of the lake, those blue eyes of his staring into the darker blue waters. His arms were crossed over his robed chest too, and it was probably clear that he had been there a while by how he wasn't moving, it didn't look like he planned to either. It would be safe to say that Oliver was lost in thought, he might as well be dead to the world until he was either finished or someone interrupted him. Normally none would bother him when he was like this, most had figured out by now that he was prone to snapping at and getting upset with whoever dared try talking to him when he was like this.

Riley enjoyed a challenge and Oliver Hayes had been just that. The Slytherin had always recognised him as attractive but as he was straight, Riley hadn't thought it worth his time trying to get anywhere with him. At some point during his sixth year however, his viewpoint on the matter had changed. What could be a better challenge than getting a straight guy to sleep with him besides getting two straight guys to sleep with him. Despite what he deemed to be sound arguments, Riley had been thus far unsuccessful in persuading Oliver to do as he was asked. Was he making any progress towards his final goal? Perhaps a little, but no number of steps closer would be sufficient to Riley until he reached the last milestone. Unfortunately, that required Oliver's co-operation and he wasn't giving it.
After asking another Gryffindor as to where he might find Oliver, he was directed to the lake but told he was probably in one of those moods where it was inadvisable to talk to him. Riley obviously ignored this warning and made his way straight down to the lake. He'd heard on other occasions that disrupting him in such a situation could make him snappy but that wouldn't bother McLaggen in the slightest. He wasn't looking for Oliver in order to have a light-hearted conversation. Besides, he'd probably know exactly what Riley wanted as soon as he saw him. It wasn't as if he'd been subtle in his requests, far from it.
Riley pushed open the doors of the entrance hall and emerged into the open air of the grounds. His eyes immediately fell upon the lake and the figure standing at the water's edge. Apart from him, there didn't appear to be anyone else outside. Just as well. McLaggen made a beeline for the beater with an eager grin spread across his face. He'd been rejected by Oliver on several occasions prior to this one but the more he badgered him, the more likely he was to give in. Theoretically anyway. As he approached the Gryffindor, Riley swung an arm around his shoulder and leaned a little on the other boy. "Come to your senses yet or are you going to continue being boring?" he asked before leaning in to whisper in his ear. "Don't worry, I'll be gentle." As soon as he'd finished speaking, a light chuckle escaped his lips before he removed his arm and simply stood next to him. "Unless you don't like gentle, I can do rough too."

Oliver damn near jumped out of his skin when he suddenly felt an arm wrap around his shoulder, he had been too out of it to hear any sort of approach. For a mere moment his lightly colored eyes reflected the uncertainties and worries that had been passing through his mind just seconds ago, but he was able to cover it up fast and the orbs returned to their usually steely cold blue. The reason he came out here was to gather up his weaknesses and seal them back up in a little box in the back of his mind, where they belonged. Any now his usual ritual was so inconveniently interrupted.
"Fuck off, McLaggen," he all but growled, shooting a glare towards the other teen. Obviously he wasn't happy with the Slytherin being there, and he had a pretty good idea what the guy wanted even before he heard anything. He also wasn't comfortable with how close they were, and it only got worse when Riley leaned in for those whispered words. Oliver brought up a protective hand to cover his ear and took a step away when arm was moved away, a scowl on his slightly red face. It was so easy for him to get flustered about this sort of thing, but he was far too stubborn to give in, not yet at least.
Still, it had been so tempting to give into Riley, but he never let himself. Oliver always tried to be the perfect son for his dying mother, and the perfect person wouldn't be gay, right? Right... "I'm not in the mood, go bother someone else," the wizard grumbled and turned to storm off with a huff. Never was he in the mood, and he just wanted to get away before that temptation hit him again. Just another few months he would have to put up with this, and then he could just hope that he never ran into Riley again.

Riley simply smirked as Oliver turned him down yet again. If anything, it was more amusing than disappointing. The manner in which he spoke was somewhat arousing. "Not in the mood? How can you not be in the mood? Someone needs to loosen up and have some fun," he replied, throwing in a wink for good measure. "When are you going to have this opportunity again? Experimenting isn't so easy in the 'real world'." Riley obviously had no clue what the real world was like but he knew enough to guess that people would deem such practicing as something that should be down while young rather than as a working adult. It wasn't necessarily a fair judgement but it seemed logical to the Slytherin to assume most people would have that outlook.
"Just once, that's all I'm asking. Besides, I didn't get a Christmas present from you so you owe me. Just once and I will, as you put it, 'fuck off' and 'bother someone else'. I ain't no quitter Ollie" He shuffled a little closer to the other boy so that the beater would be able to feel Riley was here without actually being in physical contact. He clearly didn't appreciate the proximity and Riley grabbed his arm as he turned in order to stop him walking off. The rejection was usually entertaining and added to the challenge but there were only so many times you could say no to Riley McLaggen.
"It's not like I'm going to tell anyone if that's what you're worried about." He could obviously understand Oliver being reluctant if he was concerned that people would know of his escapades. Surely knowing that it would be kept between the two of them would reassure him? It wasn't as if Riley was old or fat either. He was young, in shape, attractive and perfectly experienced. Why would Oliver persist to reject a good time that wouldn't have any consequences? For as long as Riley believed Oliver had no genuine reason to turn him down, he could continue to press him for what he wanted. He wouldn't force himself upon the Gryffindor but if there was any chance of persuading him then he'd take it up in a heartbeat.

The beater would have been more than happy to just ignore the ever living hell out of Riley for the rest of forever, but the guy just made that so difficult to do. Sure there had been people who had tried convincing him to similar things, even just a date over the years, but never did he agree to it. However, this Slytherin just didn't give up and it was slowly chipping away at his resolve, not that he'd ever admit it. The only sign that he gave to even hearing the other male was some insults grumbled beneath his breath.
Blue eyes narrowed further when a hand circled around his arm to keep him from leaving, and he tensed up a little since escape was made more difficult. For being in the house that was known for bravery, he sure did run away from his personal problems an awful lot. "I don't owe you shit, let go," he snapped as he yanked his arm back, almost acting like a snarred animal that was lashing out. It really could get difficult for him to keep denying Riley, because a part of him wanted what was being offered, not to mention the promise of being left alone afterwards just sounded so sweet.
"I swear to God, if anyone finds out I'll kick your ass," Oliver mumbled moodily, and there was no doubt in his mind that he'd carry that threat out. But after a moment, he froze up when he realized what he had said, it actually sounded like he was agreeing. "Um, I mean... I need to go," he tried to cover for himself quick, and he took a couple of steps back during those awkward words. Then he was turning on his heels to walk off quickly, again trying to run away. That was one hell of a slip up, and now he just wanted to leave before he made things worse.

"Well I didn't get you one and now I feel guilty," he replied, clearly not feeling guilty at all. "So let me give you this to make me feel better and I'll leave you alone." Riley wasn't the type to kiss and tell. He preferred to keep his own list of victories and leave everyone guessing as to who was on it. Of course, he liked people to be right and feel good about themselves so he was constantly working on lengthening that list so as to improve their chances of guessing correctly. Yeah, as if. He would only leave Hogwarts satisfied if he'd screwed as many people as he had time for and he still had a good five months worth of sex to get through. He'd manage.
"I swear to God, if anyone finds out I'll kick your ass." Woah, was that a yes? It was at least a maybe. That one sentence told Riley that the Gryffindor had been considering his proposition and so he must have made some progress in his persuasion. "So that's a yes then?" he enquired with a grin, quickly chasing after him as he started to walk away. "Oh don't go, we were just starting to have fun! Or is it fun you're afraid of? I thought Gryffindors were supposed to be brave," Riley added, spouting out everything that sprang to mind in order to make Oliver see things his way. If he got away with another rejection, the Slytherin would have to work from a near blank slate again on the next attempt.
"You're going to have to try much harder to convince me you're not interested." Now that Riley knew Oliver had at least thought about saying yes, he wasn't going to give up. "You don't need to go, you need to think about what you want and let that happen." Riley had already imagined how good it would be to have the Gryffindor bent over a desk and screaming his name. With that scenario in mind, he was determined to make it more than just a fantasy. Why wouldn't Oliver comply? He wouldn't end up pregnant, nobody would have to know and he'd have a good time, right? Riley wouldn't leave him dissatisfied, no chance of that.

The offer he was getting to be left alone after this was sounding sweeter and sweeter the more Riley kept bugging him. Honestly, he didn't give a damn if he helped the other feel better, he just wanted some god damn time to himself. Was that too much to ask? Apparently. He wanted to get away from there and pretend he never said those words, but of course the guy just had to follow him. "Of course it's not a yes," Oliver snapped, trying to cover for himself. Though it didn't seem as if it would work, the Slytherin had apparently heard him loud and clear.
At the Gryffindor's being brave comment, he sent the other a scowl. The prefect was well aware that he ran away from his problems like this, is was just yet another issue of his that he tried to ignore. That was kind of hard to do when Riley was shoving it in his face. "You want to know what I want?" Oliver stopped in his tracks alone this time and turned to face the Slytherin with narrowed and angry eyes. "I want to be left alone. I want just five-fucking-minutes to sort all my problems away and forget about them, but no! You just have to keep shoving another one in my face," he ranted and damn near yelled, putting so much blame on the other.
"And I shouldn't be interested. You're a selfish bastard who just wants to add me to a long list of fuck buddies, who the hell in their right mind would go for that? I'm no whore, damn it," Oliver continued his rant, there was obviously a lot of pent up anger and frustration in his words. Mostly because he knew that he should think that what he was saying is true, but still he had been so tempted to give into the other so many times. Just as he was right then. He never said that he wasn't interested, just that he shouldn't be.

"Are you sure? That definitely sounded like a yes to me," he replied. As far as he was concerned, stating that nobody was to find out meant he was agreeing. To what exactly? Riley had made so many different propositions to try and appeal to Oliver that he couldn't work out which offer the Gryffindor was considering. Maybe all of them? Oh how Riley would love that. But no, he couldn't be greedy. Just one round of meaningless sex would give him a sense of accomplishment and tide him over until tomorrow. If Oliver decided he wanted to try some other things then Riley wouldn't decline such a request but in the mean time, he'd try and keep his own request small.
His eyebrows raised themselves as Oliver began ranting at him. Despite his lack of response during the speech, Riley was taking in every word and evaluating it. Riley knew what Ollie wanted but did he? That was something he could help with. He shouldn't be interested... but did that mean he was? Of course he was interested, everybody was interested, they just didn't let themselves explore that interest. What kind of man would Riley be if he left Oliver as was asked without giving him what he wanted but was too scared to accept?
"I know you're not a whore. I'm the whore. I don't want to know what you want because I already know. You want to be screwed so hard you won't be able to walk for a week." It occurred to the Slytherin that maybe he was confusing Oliver's desires with his own but how different were they, really? "Then I have one last proposition for you. I'll give you five minutes to sort out all your silly little problems and then you help me sort out my problem," he said, pointing down to the protrusion in his jeans. "One fuck and you'll never have to speak to me again." Riley could probably have been a little more tasteful in his choice of words but there was no use beating around the bush. Oliver knew exactly what he wanted and it was down to him whether he gave in. Riley might have been desperate but he wasn't a rapist.

The beater's face went red when Riley shared an opinion of what he wanted, and a guilty expression may have passed over his features because that had actually passed though his head before. Of course he had thought about having sex with this Slytherin, he had actually considered it on a few occasions before he forced himself to deny it. Another reason he had been holding out for so long was because he didn't want to lose his virginity like this, but still it just kept getting harder to say no. And now that he had made it clear that Riley actually had a chance? The guy would probably never leave him alone.
"I just... I, um... Just give me a minute," Oliver said as he put some distance between them and started pacing back and forth a few feet away, sending the other a glance every now and again. He unwittingly was taking those offered five minutes, though he hadn't verbally agreed so he wasn't worrying about the second part of that bargain. Why was it so hard for him to strengthen his resolve and come up with valid points to say no this time? Because Riley was just making it so easy to say yes, and he hadn't been in his usual closed off state when the Slytherin started bugging him.
Oliver didn't even use the full five minutes, it felt like there were a million thoughts flying though his head at the moment and he knew of a way to get rid of one of his problems. And maybe it would even help him forget about the rest for a little while. "If I were to say yes, when and where would we meet?" He went back over to Riley and asked that just a couple of minutes after he started pacing. It was like him saying 'yes' but still trying to save some face, somehow. And it would probably have to be soon for him to not change his mind.

At this point, Riley didn't follow when Oliver moved away from him. If it meant Oliver would hold up his end of the deal then the Slytherin would stick to his promise. He often wondered if he was slightly pathetic for craving sex so much but he always managed to persuade himself that it was fine. Where other people turned to drugs or drink, Riley turned to pleasuring both himself and a second individual. So pressuring people for sex probably wasn't the most moral of things to do but although it might take a while, Riley would eventually leave the individual in question alone. Of course, he never told them this because then they'd know to just tolerate him until he got bored. Oliver hadn't voiced an agreement to the proposition but as he was getting his five minutes, McLaggen considered it a deal.
A smirk formed on his face as the beater practically said yes. "You're finally talking some sense," he replied. "Well I'm going to be in the old Ghoul Studies room on the seventh floor tonight. If you're smart, that's where you'll be too." With a wink, he turned around and started walking back up to the castle. Now that they'd agreed a time and a place for their antics, or at least Riley had suggested a time and a place, there was no need for him to continue badgering the Gryffindor, providing he showed that was. If he didn't then the Slytherin would no doubt get bored of trying to get his way and pick out another target.

Oliver didn't say anything more as the seeker walked off, neither confirming or denying that he would go. It gave him more time to think, at the very least. And he was kind of glad the other was leaving, so the heavy blush on his face couldn't be seen. Of course this sort of thing embarrassed him, especially since he had never gotten so close to submitting to Riley's wishes. It was weird for him too, that he was actually thinking of going. Usually he wouldn't consider it and just blow the Slytherin off, without a second thought.
For a while he just sort of stood there, staring off into space with his arms crossed over his chest. Wasn't this supposed to be a horrible idea? Then why did it sound so sweet? Especially if no one found out about them. And really, what was he saving his virginity for if he wasn't planning on having any relationships anyway? Oliver's mind just kept swimming with all these different ideas, and after a while he just sighed and shook his head and finally started towards the entrance. He would figure this out, he just had to think.

Later that day As promised, Riley made his way up to the seventh floor after dinner. He'd been careful to eat enough to satisfy his stomach without eating so much that he'd be uncomfortable. Being bloated was unpleasant enough at any time and he knew it would distract him from the potential events of the evening. If he was going to groan, it would be from pleasure and not because he was so full. He'd told the boys in his dormitory not to expect him back until later and, after casting a disillusionment charm upon himself, left the Slytherin common room to go to the empty classroom he had selected for his and Oliver's arrangement.
Riley hadn't seen the Gryffindor in question since their encounter this morning and so there had been no further pressuring. If Oliver turned up then he had correctly come to the conclusion that he wanted what was on offer. If he didn't turn up then he would know he'd been wrong, for reasons unbeknown to him, and wouldn't waste any further time trying to persuade him into it. It would be a complete turn-off if the beater just laid there while Riley got on with it. Everything was far better when both individuals were contributing and their consent was certain.
Once he arrived at the classroom, he removed the charm and walked over to what had once been a store cupboard at the back of the room. He'd have not bothered with the charm but didn't want to be followed. Part of the deal had been that nobody would know and if his dormitory mates were smart enough to figure out why Riley wouldn't be back until later, they might have followed him to find out who he'd lured into his lair this time. The cupboard was empty apart from a desk with a chair and a couple of sheets of parchment on the bare bookcase. Night had already fallen upon the castle but there was just enough light to allow Oliver to see him standing in the doorway of the cupboard. All he had to do now was wait.

Oliver felt like he must the stupid guy in the world that night, because even with all the time he had to think he still hadn't come up with a solid reason to blow Riley off. Well, sure he knew of plenty reasons, but he wasn't really satisfied with any of them. So that night, when he was doing his usual prefect rounds he found himself wandering to a certain classroom on the seventh floor. That was one of the benefits of being a prefect, he wasn't really questioned for wandering around seemingly aimlessly.
The beater found himself standing outside the Ghoul Studies classroom for a relatively long time, just staring at the door. After five minutes or so, he finally built up the courage to open the door and walk inside. Still he paused in his steps when he saw that yes, Riley was actually there. "Hey," he greeted in a quiet and awkward voice, as he continued to walk and stopped when reached the guy from a rival house. Oliver was well aware what the other wanted to do in that cupboard, and it would be fair to say that he was nervous as hell.
Not a word was said of how he agreed to their little arrangement, like he was too ashamed to say it aloud. The fact that he was there should be more than enough proof. Oliver moved into the small room and took out his wand and did a sweeping motion towards the walls. "I don't want anyone to hear us," he mumbled, he was putting up a sort of protective barrier that would keep any sound from in the cupboard, well, in the cupboard. "How's this supposed to go anyway?" Oliver asked as he finished and pocketed his lightly colored wand, turning towards the Slytherin. Again those nerves were creeping up on him, he could already feel his heart start to pound in his chest. It was obvious that he had never done this before.

A smile spread across Riley's face as he saw Oliver walk into the room. He looked just as hot as he always did but somehow the strong possibility of what they'd be doing in a few minutes amplified it. It was obvious from his expression and the lack of confidence in his voice that he was nervous. Virgin? He'd obviously never been with a boy before but as for girls, Riley couldn't quite tell. He would have assumed that as a seventh year, he'd have done it by now but he could never be sure. His own sex life wasn't exactly typical, even for a teenage boy. "Hey," he replied, stepping backwards into the shadow of the cupboard. Once Oliver had also stepped inside and started casting enchantments upon the small room, Riley closed the door and illuminated his wand before placing it on the bookshelf. The room was still fairly dark but there was now enough light for them to see each other quite clearly.
"Nice, a noise-maker." Though Riley was capable of being quiet if he had to, he much preferred to hear how well he was doing and simultaneously express how good it felt for him. The fact that Oliver expected there to be something to be heard was something of a turn-on. Riley smiled at his innocence before taking a few steps across the small floor until he was just inches away from the Gryffindor's face. "Relax for a start," he whispered in his ear, placing his hands on Oliver's shoulders as he did so and pressing their bodies together. "And just go with whatever feels good really." Riley had never sat down to think about how such things should be played out. He usually just got stuck into it and everything seemed to fall into place for him. A quiet laugh escaped his lips as he felt his downstairs growing and pressing against Ollie's groin.

Oliver's cheeks were dusted a light red at that comment of him being making a lot of noise, he couldn't help but shift his weight awkwardly. "It's just a precaution, I don't know," he muttered quietly, hardly able to make eye contact. Neither of their sex lives would probably be considered normal, and for completely opposite reasons. Up until now, the Gryffindor hadn't let himself do anything with anyone ever, and then Riley was like a bunny humping everything in sight... Well, maybe that was a little over exaggerating, but that was how he thought of it.
The beater was tense when the other move closer to him, and those whispers didn't help much. "Right," he practically breathed the word, he really was trying to calm down but it wasn't working too well. Oliver was nervous as hell and he hadn't been in a situation even close to this before, but he refused to pull away. At some point that day he had decided that he wanted this, and he wasn't going to run away now. It felt so different to have another body pressed against his own like this, but it certainly wasn't unpleasant. Hesitantly he had brought a hand to Riley's side, and when he felt that bulge pressing against him he took the Slytherin's shirt in a tight grip and looked into the other's eyes with uncertain blues. That laugh wasn't too calming, either.
